Rob Gillard has been a Practicing Architect in the Eastern Cape and Border-Kei regions for the past 18 years, first with Clyde Hannan Associates from 1994, before establishing his own practice in 2001, and Intsika Architects cc in 2003. As Principal Architect, Rob attends to the full range of architectural services, from conceptual design to contract administration, marketing to quality control. His work profile includes many varied projects, successfully completed for both Private and Public Sector Organisations.

Luke started working for Port Elizabeth-based Adendorff Architects & Interiors in 2008, following which he joined Intsika Architects in May of 2012 as a Candidate Architectural Technologist under the mentorship of our Director, Rob Gillard. He then registered as a Professional Architectural Technologist in 2014 and upon furthering his studies, qualified for a Bachelors of Technology in Applied Design in 2018. He then upgraded his SACAP category to a Senior Architectural Technologist in 2019.

Lihle Njena

Lihle did his in-service training for his final year to obtain his Diploma with Intsika under the mentorship of Rob Gillard. He then furthered his studies at the University of Johannesburg doing his Advanced Diploma, graduating in 2024. Lihle is a highly motivated individual and is a valued staff member at Intsika Architects.

Natalie Gillard

From 1995 to 2005 Natalie was employed by SBV Services (bank) and oversaw the Personnel function for 100 employees. Natalie went on to join Chas Everitt International Property Group as a Property Agent in 2006, and moved to her current position in Personnel Management at Intsika Architects in 2007.

Mavis Sobende
Mavis has been assisting Intsika Architects for more than 10 years with making sure the office is kept clean and neat. Mavis definitely makes the best Cappuccino’s in East London.
